Happy Talk

The Sunday before last, Charlie gave his first opening prayer in Primary. He did a wonderful job, and he just looked so big. I couldn't believe any of my kids were old enough to be giving a PRAYER!

That day, Liv received her first Primary assignment. She gave a talk yesterday on how Nephi was blessed for choosing the right. (Nephi, for those who don't know, is one of the prominent people in The Book of Mormon.)

She did SUCH an amazing job! It was really very impressive. Eli whispered the words into her ear and she repeated them loudly and clearly. This girl has theater in her future should she choose to go down that path...just sayin'. :)

Anyway, here's her talk...

In The Book of Mormon we read of a very special man who knew how important it was to choose the right. His name is Nephi.

Nephi always listened to his parents. Sometimes he listened even when no one else did. He always chose the right.

As Nephi listened to his parents and the Lord, he was blessed in many ways. Sometimes the Lord even saved his life.

If we choose the right like Nephi, we will be blessed and be able to live with Heavenly Father again. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

On another note, Charlie said the prayer tonight before bed and thanked Heavenly Father for our bodies and for the Earth we live on. Wow. They are going to start teaching us now.
