Meeting Santa

This past Saturday, we traveled to Urbana, Ohio to take the kids to see Santa for the first time. We went to my Grandparents' house with Mom and Borky and had a nice lunch while Charlie and Olivia "napped."

Okay...they didn't really sleep. In fact, Charlie had been a little fussy that morning, but I thought he just had a cold and that the trip wouldn't be too bad. I was way wrong. He was a mess, poor little guy. We ended up driving over to the Heritage Center in Springfield (where Santa was waiting) not really sure if we were going in or going home. Charlie calmed down quite a bit once he was in the car and sucking on his pacifier, so we decided to give it a shot. I'm glad we did, because Charlie and Liv both loved it!

The Heritage Center is Clark County's museum, and my Grandpa volunteers as a docent there. A perfect thing for him to do as he has lived in Clark County his whole life...and knows practically everything there is to know about it anyway! But every Christmas they transform one of their large rooms into Santa land. It was spectacular! Christmas trees, lights and winter scenes filled the room. It was a 1 year old's dream come true. The twins didn't know where to look first and were in awe at their surroundings. As we walked through Santa Land, I worried about Charlie meeting Santa. But in the end, he sat on Santa's lap and just stared at this odd looking man in red. Livy did the same, and they both seemed intrigued. He was a great Santa who gave us a wonderful "HO HO HO!" as we were leaving.

Yes Abbey, those are your adorable outfits! I LOVE them!

I only have one picture. It's my Mom's. If you read my Christmas Meme, I'm changing my answer to what I want for Christmas. Happiness, love, health...that's all great...but what I really want is a new DSLR camera! :) It's insane that I don't have my own camera to take pictures of my kiddos with! Late notice I know, as Christmas is in 4 days, but maybe if you all put your heads and pocketbooks together you can make a girl's Christmas wish come true! :)

Yet another plug for the DSLR...you'll never regret spending the money. We're obsessed with ours. Eli, this would be your big hint. :)

I'm so glad you like the outfits and that they fit! Success! :)

Actually...now that I'm back looking at the picture (again!!!), I realize that the kids are checking out that Santa pretty closely...Livvy is all, "Who are you and why do you look like that?" and Charlie is thinking "Do you have a turn on button right HERE?"

Cuties....

Cute, cute, cute!! DSLR. . . I'm in love with mine. I do, however, love my little canon point and shoot. I can recommend a great one. I am a Canon snob, but there are a lot of great ones out there. LOVE!!!
