Yesterday the twins became official people...we finally reached their due date! So to celebrate the grand occasion, we went to Babies R Us for some professional photos...NUDIES!
I would not recommend going to Babies R Us for this, and I knew that going in. But we had to go there anyway to pick up a pack-n-play for Gram's house, so I figured I might as well. I think the pictures turned out cute, but the "photographer" couldn't understand why (and was frustrated by the fact that) they couldn't hold their heads up, and they kept crying. Um...hello? 6 weeks old here! Oh yeah...and they wouldn't look at the camera. I finally convinced her that I didn't care about that, I just wanted to capture them as they are right now. It also didn't help that they only do 6 standard poses. Please, when photographing babies, you HAVE to be able to be more flexible than THAT! But like I said, I expected this going in. So all in all I am happy with the outcome. And one of their standard poses was really the only pose I set out to get. It's the one of both of them. They had a picture (kinda) like this at Riverside in the Maternal Health office. So cute!
But we also got one shot of each of them. A bit contrived, but cute. And don't mind Charlie's eyes, he can't quite focus yet! :)
