Happy New Year from our Sunbeams!

The first day of the 2012 fell on a Sunday. And so on that day, Charlie and Olivia had their first day of Primary! In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, children ages 3 thru 11 attend Primary during the last two hours of church. The 3 year old class is called Sunbeams, named from the song "Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam."

I have to admit, I was a little nervous for this first experience in organized education. Surely, mine would be the children dancing around the room while everyone else sat quietly and listened attentively. ;) But they did a fantastic job! No tears. Just laughter, fun, and reverence. The highlights for them? Fruit snacks and crowns. :) The crowns say, "I am a child of God." They are truly royalty.

What a wonderful way to start our year.
Happy New Year!

CUTE! Olivia ran up to me in the hall after church, grabbed my shiny green dress and exlaimed, "WHOA! Love it!" She's a doll.
