Little Bits of Randomness

Ok. It's been a little while since I've blogged. My kids were sick with the croup and I've been sick with...well...pregnancy. Headaches, fatigue, and nausea have plagued me. Thankfully, the pregnancy nausea is subsiding, but I now have nausea related to allergies. Post nasal drip if you will. TMI? :)

Today, however, I am feeling pretty good. I thought I'd take this opportunity to write down a few random things from the past few days.

*I love winter. Having said that, I am so sick of the cold weather!

*Today is much warmer and it's storming. This I LOVE! Totally enjoying the sounds of the thunder outside, while my kiddos are cozy on a blanket watching Aladdin.

*In order to give my babies the best possible chance of having a decent birth weight, I have been trying desperately to follow a diet recommended by Dr. Barbara Luke in the book When You're Expecting Twins, Triplets, or Quads. This is NOT for the faint of heart. I eat a regular or small meal every 2 hours, and I have to tell you. By dinner, I just DON'T want to put one more bite into my mouth. Ugh. But it seems to be working...at least for MY weight gain. :)

*I am both dreading and looking forward to bedrest. Dreading it for the obvious reasons, but I know my stress level will decrease immensely. It's hard doing the daily things when you are also growing three little humans. The fatigue of this pregnancy doesn't come close to the fatigue with the twins.

*For the first time in my life, dirty dishes collecting in the sink is a daily occurrence. Oh well.

*Liv has officially moved into her new room (the former guest room). She is also now the proud occupant of the queen bed that is in that room. Can you say "lap of luxury?"

*We will be getting Charlie a new bed this week and we will then be able to set up the nursery. How's that for the 12th week of pregnancy? :)

*Last pregnancy related item. I went from having no belly, to a rather obvious one in a few days. I literally sat there one day last week and watched my belly grow. (Ok. Not really. But it did happen in one day.)

*General Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was this weekend. 4 two hour sessions throughout the week for all the members of the church. It always comes at just the right time for me. I needed to hear the prophetic and wise counsel of the leaders of our church. The Spirit was so present in our home, and I just drank it in. I am so thankful for these conferences every 6 months. They are such a spiritual boost!
