Nursery and My New Calling

We have arrived! I am really late in posting this, but this is the third Sunday that Charlie and Liv have been in nursery the second two hours of church. Oh how we longed for this day. Since September, we have only been able to attend Sacrament meeting and have missed out on the spiritual uplift of the last two hours of church. But now we stay and are edified!

They did so well their first Sunday in nursery. Really, they couldn't have cared less that we left them there for two hours. Last Sunday the teachers brought Charlie to Eli with about 10 minutes left to go because he wouldn't stop crying. Surely not my Charlie. :) I'm pretty sure he was just tired. But this week went well again.

Meanwhile, I have a new calling I started last week. I am the new Primary Chorister, and honestly...I am LOVING this calling! Basically, I sing for two hours. Once with Junior Primary, once with Senior Primary, and one time each with each of the nurseries. I haven't visited Charlie and Liv's class yet for fear of the tantrums that might ensue when I leave. Maybe next week.

So after 8 months of sitting in the hallway till sacrament meeting is over, we are all enjoying the blessings of full church attendance. I couldn't ask for more!

I'm so pleased that you get to "join in with the Saints and give worship", but I am often conflicted about putting young mothers in the Primary. I know that they are "naturals" for the job, but I also think they need a break...but everyone has to put in their time...so...I guess we leave it to the inspired people, right?

I can't think of a better chorister than you. Perfection!

Oh, I'd love for you to come be my chorister! You'll be great, and I think it's one of the most fun callings!

Our chorister is moving in the next 2 weeks. *sigh* We'd love for you to move back to Powell.

Don't you just love nursery?!!! Vivi started today (a little early but that's the perk of being in the presidency) and she absolutely loves it. Lara's not loving sharing her favorite time of church but I think she'll get used to it :)

Debbie, I agree about mothers in primary, but I think it's even harder for pregnant women to be in primary. and they are everywhere!

Abbey and Valerie, thank you for the encouragement. I'd love to be in your primaries any day!
