First Swim

We've been trying and trying, but we finally did it. Last night Eli and I took the twins to the pool! We were only there for about 45 minutes, but we had so much fun! We put sunscreen on and got ready to go...

Then we hopped in the water.



Livy loved it. I plopped her right in and she just let herself bob around.







Charlie...



Surprise! :) But he warmed up to it after a few minutes. The pacifier helped too.

We played "Motor Boat, Motor Boat", which was one of my favorite pool games as a child. I loved the feeling of being whisked through the water. Of course, we had to make some whisking modifications, so I took it slow for the first time. Perhaps we should have played "Tug Boat, Tug Boat." That may be a more appropriate title.

Anyway...we were in the pool for quite a while. When we got out we bundled them up in their towels. I think Liv made an especially cute bunny. Halloween costume idea?

Though Eli didn't make it into any of the pictures, :( he really was there. We had such a great time, we're going again today! This time we'll try out the baby floats. That should be exciting...
