Legge-Gate

Last night was the OSU vs. Tesxas game. The Fiesta Bowl. We lost. :( But that was really not all that important to me this time. You see, ever since Dad and Laura got married, they hosted Legge-Gate (pronounced Leggy-Gate). It's their answer to Heine-Gate, and they have a Legge-Gate for every away game. And especially the bowl games. They didn't have many this year because Dad was sick, but the Fiesta Bowl was the only game that Dad wasn't able to see. So what do we do about the bowl game? We have a Legge-Gate of course!

All of the regulars were there, including "Ed" the large, orange traffic cone that was confiscated from a parking lot by Dad and his friends during his bachelor party. "Ed" attended all of the Legge-Gates with a Bud-Light balanced precariously on top of his "head." (I'm the only Mormon in my family! :) )

Kip, my Dad's best friend, kept the fire going (Dad's job), but made a faux pas by using the gas. Dad NEVER used the gas. Kip quickly learned his lesson. :) And the commercials were appropriately muted so that conversation and socializing could ensue. Dad always did this as well, because once the game was back on, it was time to focus! The food was yummy, as always, and it was nice to see everyone. And Dad was there, because we were all there. Missing him and loving him...and enjoying each other's company. Though this Legge-Gate was missing Mr. Legge himself, it did have two new additions...

...and they were the hit of the party. So now there is only one question. Next year. Legge-Gate?
