The Babies are Home!

Woohoo! Yesterday Eli and I went down to OSU Hospital at about 4:00pm and picked up our two precious babies. We got them home just before 6:00 and Liv was having no problem with her new surroundings. Charlie, however, was not super fond of his new home. How rude! And he wasn't super fond of his new crib. Even ruder! So what did we do? We called in reinforcements! Gram to the rescue! Naturally, by the time she got here everyone was calm. But she did stay the night and that was super helpful as we were all a bit tired and needed some rest. I think Gram ended up getting the least though, and she just does not do well without adequate sleep (i.e. 10 hours). What a sacrifice she is making, and she's happy to do it I know.

So far today is going well. Everyone is happy and sleeping...all the time. Literally. I am holding Charlie right now as I type this actually. Are you impressed? :) But he is sleeping peacefully and Olivia is crashed in her pink bouncy seat. All is well. For now. :) We even showered and got dressed today. Surely this will end soon. And that's as it should be.

i want to give abby and eli a shout out because they handled their first night with twins - and under a few weeks' worth of stress on top of it, i might add - with skill and finesse. they seemed so at ease and even when eli said he couldn't do this without me, i knew he was one big gigantic goofball liar.

YAY YAY YAY...life sounds wonderful and happy!!!!!...ain't it grand?....everyone is in my prayers every morning and every night! Wow, Heavenly Father sure knows the names Charlie and Olivia Bowman because He hears them all the time. BTW, I was at the temple last night and all of your names are on the prayer roll...again...with love ;)

I'm glad you got through your first night relatively unscathed. But be warned - they do wake up - Randall and I haven't slept for three years, but it is all worth it.

Yay! So glad that they are home!!! Take some pictures!!! Hey, maybe they will be like those mythical babies who sleep well all through their infancy! If so, we'll send Muriel over so they can school her! If you can handle 2, you can handle 3, right???

Sarah.
