2008 in Review

I read this on my mother-in-law's blog and I liked it. The questions are amazingly relevant to the past year and especially the past month. So I am choosing to answer the questions for myself.

1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before?
Cared for a sick parent, gave birth, gave birth to twins, quit my job, was on bedrest for 10 weeks.

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
A lot has happened this year. I don't even remember my resolutions.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
um...do I count?

4. Did anyone close to you die?
My Dad. 12/16/2008

December 12, 2008, the day the C&O express arrived!!! And December 16, 2008, the day my Dad died.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I'd say giving birth is a pretty big achievement, wouldn't you? I also think giving you Dad permission to move on is equally impressive.

9. What was your biggest failure?
There is a lot I would have changed as I went throughout the year, but now, in hindsight, is it prideful to say that I don't think I failed at much? Because the important things were taken care of, and they are all that matter.

not exactly.

Our Kia.

I can't remember what came out this year!

29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 26 and I was on bedrest. Mom gave me small gifts throughout the day and Dad and Laura gave me 4 tickets to shows with gift certificates for dinner for each one. we got a mint chocolate ice cream pie from Graeter's and Bonzai Burgers from Red Robin. Yummers!
