Tumble Tots and Potty Pots
Today was the last day of Tumble Tots for this session. The kids received a progress report of all the things have learned how to do by themselves and what they still need help with. Poor Charlie had a LOT of "needs more help" check marks. This has little to do with his ability to perform the actions (I've seen him do them at home), but more with his simply not participating in the class. The past two classes he really started to get into it though. Liv and Charlie also received a ribbon for having completed the session. So cute.
Or it would have been if the class itself had not gone horribly. Listening (or even mere safety) was just not important to my kiddos today. It made for a very tricky class, and unfortunately, I had to end up canceling a lunch date with another child in the class. They just couldn't pull it together, so I made the call to go home instead of out for a treat.
As difficult as a day like this is in general, today was NOT the day to have this happen. Why? Because tomorrow, our family begins a potty training in 3 days method. I'm already a wreck over considering what lies ahead, but this day just put more fear in me. So at this point, rather than being excited, I am merely praying that 1) our family won't spend the next 3 days in tears, and 2) that any pregnancy related nausea will hold off until the potty training is complete. Because, let's be honest, cleaning up any of these accidents while nauseated isn't exactly going to work. :)
Tonight we will go pick out underwear and hopefully get everyone excited about this big time in our lives. I will, of course, blog about what happens, but I might be MIA for the next few days. So wish us luck!

Good luck! If I could pay someone to potty train my kids. ..ANY AMOUNT. . .I would. My sanity point was simply thinking, "Hey, kids are always potty trained by the time they get to kindergarten. .. we're doing great." It helped. :)
I would pay someone to do it too Em. TOTALLY! Unfortunately, I've seen kids who aren't potty trained by Kindergarten! There was one at Mary Evans who changed her own diaper!! Not that I think that will happen with my kids, but it's scary you know?
Are you KIDDING me!? That's a problem. . . Great! Now my one "feel good thought" is gone! hahah!!
Not to worry. .. only one more kid to go and then I won't ever have to do it again! Woot!
please let me know if i can help in any way, ab. lots of love and prayers are sent your way.
We'll just see it as already done! We'll see those little bums doing their jobs cleanly and efficiently. Sure..easy for me to say, but I'm sending those vibes and prayers your way, honey. I'll call to check on things. xoxox, moo
Wait .... You're pregnant? Yayyy! When are you due? Love, Linda xoxoxo
Abby,
My son, who shares a birthday with your twins, is already potty trained. He did it in about 5 days just before his 2nd birthday. I know it can be super stressful but you (& they) can do it! Good luck!
