First Loves

I just witnessed the sweetest thing I have ever seen. I had just finished changing Charlie and Liv into their clothes for the day and was picking up their room a bit. They had left the room to venture out into the house, but Olivia came back. On her way into the room, she tripped and fell and started to cry. So I sat down and pulled her into my lap, and she nestled into me. If you are thinking this is the sweet part, you are wrong. A second later, Charlie entered the room. He walked straight over to Olivia and gave her a hug and then...kissed her on the forehead! Twice!

When I told him how sweet and loving he was, he decided he couldn't stop there. He kept giving her the gentlest hugs and kisses. This is the first time I have seen my children show each other love in that way. They have been starting to play together lately, but this is something entirely different. They love each other!!

Oh! My heart just jumped when I saw that picture. I've never seen them look at each other...and they were SMILING! They're AWARE!!!

And what you said about the affection just broke me down. How delightful to witness. What a blessed moment you shared with your children. Bravo, mommy!!! This is a reflection of their upbringing and the spirit that resides in their home. Well done...

Oh, my goodness, how sweet! What a mirror of love that is shown between you and Eli. These kids are so surrounded by love, it makes my heart sing! So happy they see each other and have such affection for their "other half."
That picture may be the cutest think my eyes have every witnessed. So sweet, so tender, so very very very YOUR bowman family. :)

Ditto to all of the above - not to mention this is seriously the cutest "Honey, I'm home!" picture ever!

Watching your kids form a bond like that is one of the most wonderful moments in parenthood. I love it when Corbin and Nora say good night to each other - it's the best ending after a long day.
