They Just Keep Growing!

Recently Charlie and Olivia have started to walk around with the help of one of those infant walkers. Charlie does quite well, and Liv's little walk is too cute! They are also both letting go of their support when they are standing. They are gaining so much control over their bodies.

In the past couple of days, Liv has been beginning to use words and signs more. Both of them do the sign for "all done" on a regular basis, but I was talking with Liv about the word "nap" and using the sign the other day. The next day I laid her down for a diaper change about 30 minutes before their regular nap time. I knew Charlie was already tired, but when I laid her down she rubbed her eyes and said, "ap! ap!" So I said, "Are you ready for a nap?" And she said, "ap!" I laid her in her crib and she was out like a light. This morning I was in the kitchen emptying the dishwasher and she came in, rubbed her eyes, and whined a little bit. It was early for their morning nap, but I asked if she wanted a nap and I did the corresponding sign. She immediately did the sign and nodded at me. Again, she went right to sleep. I think we can officially say that "nap" aka "ap" is Livy's first word! She's been saying "dada", but she says that even when she isn't talking to or about Eli. She has also started to say "mama"! YAY!!

too cute! Corbin's first word was Elmo (melmo) and Nora's was blanket (anket, then banket).

"ap"....oh my goodness....I sense a new portion of a password coming...

But really, consider this, she's not quite 12 months old and she's communicating THAT effectively...amazing Olivia...we just need to get used to saying that....

i think she learned "ap" from me, seeing as how i'm always taking one. :)

Isn't signing awesome?!? Ella really started getting good at signs at about that age. I think it really helps with language, too. She's pretty vocal for her age, and I think it's from using signs so much.

Besides all that, it's just plain adorable! :)

I'm proud to say that the cutest babies in the world are my tadpoles! Way to go Liv! I'm very proud of you. You go Mommy!!! You rock!

Hugs and kisses to all of you!! xoxo

PS-Now would be a great time to teach them Aunt Froggy. It's a fun word to say for babies...and I love hearing it. :)
