Happy Independence Day!

For their first 4th of July, we took the twins to Gram and Muff's downtown apartment to watch the biggest firework show around. There was a party on the top level of the apartment parking garage and from there we viewed Red, White and BOOM! It was a fantastic view, by the way, and the party was catered by the chef at the Columbus Brewing Company, just down the street. Tasty! Livy tried some baked beans while Charlie took a snooze. They both stayed up until about 5 minutes before the show started, and then missed the entire thing - they slept right through it. Therefore, I cannot let them tell you about it as I usually do. Oh well, maybe next year. Here are a few pics from the party.

This is Charlie with Muff. Hmm...well, I guess we were in the Brewery District. But still...

This is Livy with her Daddy. I didn't make it into any of the pictures because after eating and taking pictures of everyone else, it was time for the show.

This is Livy in her cute patriotic shirt my friend Abbey made. Thankfully for us, it was too small for Abbey's daughter, so we got to make good use of it. (Check out the other totally cute things Abbey makes for babies at littleonesllc.com. I bought the bow from there too!)

Charlie right before his little snooze that cost him the chance to taste baked beams for the first time. Poor guy.

Livy with Gram. The show is almost about to begin! How exciting!

Of course, Red, White and Boom is on July 3rd. So on the 4th we laid low and ended up going to visit our friends the Browns in the evening. We played their new Wii and the kids got to visit and then go to bed for a mini slumber party. Liz and I stood on their front step and watched 7 firework shows at one time! They live in the country and have a wide open view in front of their house. The lightening bugs added a special something to the shows. All in all, it was a good holiday.

I was wondering if that shirt/dress/mistake fit Olivia. I'm so glad it did...and she looks so cute! They both do! :)
