Good-bye Michael

As a child I was in love with Michael Jackson. He won me over during his Super bowl performance and there was no going back. I bought every record from his solo career, but adored EVERYTHING from the Jackson 5 years. Honestly, I still believe there isn't a performer better than Michael. And his music is amazing.

Thursday afternoon, as everyone now knows, Michael Jackson passed away suddenly. I was shocked. Farrah Fawcett had passed away yesterday morning, and while everyone was still reeling, Michael passed. Both will be missed, and both have done so much for their craft. They have changed the world we live in. Truly. So I couldn't help but wonder...who did Dad and Don say "hello" to first?... And do you think there were crowds of spirits gathering with their little spirit cameras to welcome these two icons home?...

Or maybe. Just maybe. Michael can finally have some joy. Afterall, his life was spent entertaining us. And I'm not so sure he would have chosen that path. We'll miss you Michael! But something tells me you'll always be here. :)

Dad totally went to see Michael.. . always loved him, always will. It was probably my dad's love for Michael that contributed to all of us kids loving him so much. We used to sit around and watch the Thriller movie/video all day long! I am kind of happy for Michael. . mortality was a roller coaster for him.

Oh good, glad to see there's another fan out there :) I get to hear snarky comments from Reed whenever I mention how great Michael Jackson is and was.

Reed is just plain missing out Valerie. You can let him know I said so!

Can I just tell you how happy I was to see that Emmy took credit for the Katzbox comment that referred to Don as "my Dad..." because I thought, "well, I've totally lost it, I'm off the deep end now, not only is my memory shot, but I'm confused about my relationships"

But I concur: while Don probably went to see the Gloved One, don't think for one minute he wasn't checking out Farrah....in a big way....as he might say, "I'm only superhuman, after all...."
