Happy Mother's Day!

Maybe next year. Sunday was Mother's Day. My very first Mother's Day as a Mom myself. I was hoping it would be a special day. I didn't even really have any lofty goals or expectations, but it just didn't deliver. If it had been any old day, it would have been great. But as Mother's Day, my very FIRST Mother's Day, well...it was lacking. They didn't even pass out carnations at church. I don't even like carnations, but every year they give out carnations to recognize and show appreciation for all of the moms. But this year...not a carnation in sight. I realize that this is a teeny-tiny thing, but it's the one I'm sharing with you. I'll spare you all the rest. I just hope next year is better. I hope that next year, the week before Mother's Day will be happier.

There were a couple bright spots though. They go by the names of Charlie and Olivia. I am thankful that I even had a very first Mother's Day as a Mom. Even if I didn't get a carnation. :)

Didn't you get your tomato plant? Not as classy as a rose, but a gift is a gift :)

A flower will wilt but children stay forever.

Love you. Happy Mother's Day

I saw no tomato plants. but we had to leave right after sacrament, so maybe that's why.

It was, ahem, memorable. On a selfish note, I had all of my chillin' with me, and most of my grandchillin' so I kinda sorta scored. And the older that Olivia gets, the more she looks like her Mommy....word. Happy Mother's Day!!!!!

You may not have gotten flowers, but you "GAVE" a great-grandmother so much joy on Sunday eveing. Your love is so immense for your babies, and watching you with your children on that day was a gift for her, and Debbie, and me. Thank you for that, and I promise next Mothers Day will be priceless.

love, Aunt Duck
