Cirucmcision Day

What a day this has been. It was a huge day for the Charlie boy. He was finally circumcised today. We weren't sure if it was actually going to happen, as there was some speculation that perhaps he had a hernia. We arrived at Children's Hospital at 9:30, got into Urology at 10:30 and were sent away to Ultrasound for an impromptu scrotal ultrasound. What fun! Then we headed back up to Urology. Thankfully, Charlie does not have a hernia. Unthankfully (for him) that meant that they went ahead and did the circumcison. It was a looooooooong day.

Needless to say, he was not happy about this turn of events. He cries unless we are holding him. But we should be holding him, so he's doing pretty well. We are hoping that he will just sleep through most of the first 24 hours, but the nurse said he will probably have a rough night. We shall see.

And of course, thanks AGAIN to my wonderful mother who walked back and forth around the hospital all day long and helped with the kiddies. Love you Mom! And love YOU Charlie. We'll take care of you sweetie!

Abby, I have a funny quote for you...

"Bill, what's missing from this picture?!"

Poor, Charlie :-(

This story may usurp the embarassing and necessary bath time pictures. Be sure to show this entry to every girl Charlie ever brings home.

Ligers are bred for their magical properties....:)

Update: He has been pretty sleepy since yesterday afternoon and seems to be coping well with the procedure. Just don't let him get a hold of your fingers when he's crying because he's strong enough to crush them now.

Man, he IS a liger.
