Bath Time and Pediatricians

Liv and Charlie had their first visit to the pediatrician today. They will go back next week and then in for an 8 week checkup which will include shots. :( Today, though, they were given clean bills of health. We stripped them down to their diapers so they could be thoroughly inspected. They did not particularly like this part of the visit as it was a bit chilly. Thankfully, we had cozy blankets to wrap them in. They were measured in every possible way. Liv now weighs 5lbs. 1.5oz. and Charlie is 5lbs. 4oz.

The best part of the visit came when the Dr. told us we were allowed to let them sleep as long as possible at night! Woohoo! We no longer need to wake them up every three hours to feed during sleepy time. During the day, though, we will continue this. She also told us we could take them anywhere we wanted as long as no one touched them. Easier said than done, but at least we have permission to leave the house. I hear the mall a-callin'! Who wants to join us? :) All in all, I am glad with our choice of pediatrician. She seems funny and practical, and her ideas about what is best for children seem to be in line with ours. That's the most important thing to me.

Switching topics here...last night was bath night. I told you there would be pictures! But I would not be starting out my parenting well if I posted every little thing online, if you get my drift. :) So I will edit the pics I choose to post. Just know that everything is there and now very clean! Both Liv and Charlie screamed about being stripped down to nothing, but upon entrance into the warm water, they immediately calmed and fell into an "almost slumber." So cute! They sure were slippery and it was tough to keep their little heads out of the water, but we succeeded with little trouble. I washed Liv and Eli was in charge of Charlie. It was so wonderful to see them all shiny and clean and smelling oh-so-yummy afterward. Adorable.
