Riverside Hospital: Day 37

Okay. So I guess I need to explain my last blog entry better. Unfortunately, I have received a few comments that the last paragraph regarding our need for more baby supplies sounds a little rude. This bothers me because I certainly had no intention of being rude, I just wanted to document this concern of mine. In no way was I trying to tell people that their gifts have been unsatisfactory or unhelpful. The fact of the matter is, we are having more than one baby which means we need more than your average first time parents. Therefore, even though we have had two showers, there is still a lot left on the registry.

We have recieved some wonderful things from our friends and family, and we are so grateful for that. Everyone has been so generous. Thank you.

I hope that clears up any confusion there may have been.

Abby, that was a great idea to suggest buying off the baby registry for Christmas. I would much rather buy something that someone actually NEEDS given all our limited resources in this economy. I am sorry to hear that someone felt it was OK to tell/insinuate/mention that your post was rude, especially given your current situation. :-) I'm off to go check the newspaper for Babies R' Us coupons...

It's never rude to say you need things for your babies. Don't worry! And you shouldn't have to apologize. You're going through WAY more than the average mom and dad! You're just being a good mom, Abs. ;)

I must say i am impressed with what you have already recieved from both your registry's Babies R us and Potter Barn Kids. Abbey and i still had a lot of stuff that we had to get after ella came. Also registering at target was a big help because everything was cheaper so when people were going to spend 10 or 15 dollars we would get 2 things instead of one. Just some ideas for you. Oh and can't remember if BRU does this but we were able to get an additional 20% off the items on the target registry after the baby was born.
