Riverside Hospital: Day 31 (I Hear It's Snowing...)

Yep. I hear it all the time. From fellow bloggers, from nurses, from family and friends. It's been snowing. And it's COLD out there.

But. I haven't seen one. single. snowflake. Nothing. And I sit here all day long staring longingly out of my large windows to try and spot just on little glimpse. Still no snow. What's the deal?!

HAHAHAHA!! Just as I was writing that I saw a single snowflake fly across my window! (pause.) That was it. I'll take it, but that was it. So back to "what's the deal?" How can it snow everywhere in the greater Columbus area and not right outside my window? It's crazy. Insane! It doesn't make any sense.

It's like being inside a snow globe without any snow. Maybe someone cracked the glass and all of the water and "snow" leaked out. Meanwhile, that same someone is flipping me over and under and around...but no snow. It might be a long day. :)

Abby, I can assure you that the "white plague" has indeed already infected Columbus today. I beheld its evil with mine own eyes this morning. God help us all.

Eliot, we need you to be more dramatic...NOW!

Abby, on a related weather note-thought you might enjoy this...the opposition on prop 8 are still protesting-mainly because they're big whiney babies, but anyway...they were protesting last Sunday at the Palm Springs stake center during Church...well, remember, we live in a DESERT!...it's DRY...and it's not rainy season here...(as comical as THAT season is anyway)...anyhoo, they started picketing, they collected themselves, started their thing and guess what, right above them, and NO WHERE ELSE, it started RAINING...JUST OVER THEM...they had to break up their little party and GO HOME...and guess what happened when they left?...THE SUN CAME OUT!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH....when the Saints came out of Church, all was dry and sunny-per usual....it was great....thought you would enjoy....Love, me

Upon telling Ben and Maysa that I was pregnant, they simply asked when I would be having the baby. I told them in the winter time. Now every time they see snow-they associate that with winter and tell me to go the the hospital TODAY! I'M HAVING MY BABY! I then have to assure them that hopefully we'll have Christmas first before my baby comes. I guess snow means different things to different people. I have no doubt though, because my revolves around irony, that not a single snow flake will fall on my delivery day!

It's been snowing here too! West Michigan got nine inches on the 17th, and though our ground isn't frozen, we have not lost a bit of it - though it has compacted and in places turned into ice.

This has been a real early snow for us and I hope it doesn't last since the colors after fall are beautiful to me. Oh, and I love the birds that flock this time of year!
