We're still waiting. And waiting. And waiting. Contractions were the thing that landed me in this hospital in the first place, and now that my water has broken (just Olivia's sac FYI), I have stopped contracting. Go figure! You know, there's a lot more to this whole preganancy thing than one might originally imagine. A LOT more.
So far we have beat some of the odds. 50% of women deliver within 48 hours of having their water break. We're past that for sure. But 80% deliver within the week. Still in that group, and we've got a few more days. I guess Dr. Melillo told my Mom that he was 90% sure I will deliver this week and that he has a hunch it might be tomorrow. Dr's intuition I guess. We shall see! All the other high risk Drs. just won't hazard a guess. Once again, one of those things about pregnancy that no one knows. I wonder if that's Heavenly Father's way of maintaining some control in these situations. I mean, let's be honest. Between teen pregnancy and infertilazation techniques, He's losing a bit of His hold on things here! (But between you and me, He's all over this particular case. He's got it in the bag.)
I have more ultrasound pics to post, but they will have to wait until I get out of the hospital. We discovered yesterday that Charlie might just have Olivia beat in the big feet department. Holy Cow! The technician couldn't get over it. Olivia was hiding, so no pics of her this time.
But both of these babes are still doing well. Good heartbeats, lots of movement, and Liv still seems to have a good amount of fluid in her sac. She weighs 3lbs 4oz, and Charlie weighs 3lbs 9oz. So they are in good shape there too. So here's to the baby loves! Come what may! Come WHEN they may.
